Unicorn Productions is made up of artists Julia Campbell, Erin Hutching and Jenine Kerr.
Julia Campbell

Julia Campbell completed a BA(hons) in Theatre and Film Studies in 2006 at Canterbury University. Here she specialised in theatricality in film. During her studies Julia had the chance to work with the Unversity Free Theatre, the professional company associated with the university. With this company she had the opportunity to train in modern physical theatre style. After directing numerous student film projects, Julia directed her first professional piece in 2007 with Unicorn Productions Jill & Irene Go Camping for the Melbourne Fringe festival. She also played one of the title characters, Jill. In 2008 she directed Unicorn Productions’ second piece, Alex London Dies in Public, which premiered at the Adelaide Fringe festival with seasons at the 2008 Melbourne Fringe Festival as well as in Christchurch, New Zealand. Julia’s most recent work was Instructions to a Double, where she both directed the piece and took on the character of Lucius. This multi-media piece incorporated live theatre and filmed projecctions. Instructions to a Double debuted at the New Zealand Fringe Festival in 2008 and was subsequently performed in both Christchurch and Melbourne. Julia recently completed an Advanced Diploma in Video Post-Production at Natcoll in Christchurch and is now based in Wellington, New Zealand.
Erin Hutching

Erin Hutching has been performing with amateur and professional theatre companies since a young age in projects as varied as Shakespeare, modern works such as Peter Schaffer’s Equus and self-devised experimental works.
She has also appeared in many short films and a few features. As well as being an actor, she has a strong interest in conceptualising and producing new works. She completed a Bachelor of Arts in Theatre & Film and English in 2005 in Christchurch, New Zealand, training with the Free Theatre and focusing on physical theatre theorists such as Meyerhold. She also holds a Postgraduate Diploma in Arts Management from the University of Melbourne.
In 2007 she took several workshops in the physical theatre training method Viewpoints, and also completed a two week intensive with the famed SITI Company from New York, studying Suzuki, Viewpoints and Composition. She also trained in these styles, as well as Butoh, with Brisbane based physical theatre company Zen Zen Zo in 2009 and 2010 as well as studying Strasberg, Adler and Meisner techniques at the Melbourne Actor’s Lab.
In 2011, Erin went to New York to do an intensive Acting Conservatory program at the Stella Adler Studio of Acting.
Erin handles most of the management and producing for Unicorn Productions as well as acting in all the productions – Irene in Jill & Irene Go Camping, Alex London in Alex London Dies in Public and Kasmira in Instructions to a Double. In 2009, Erin was one of the original members of he acting troupe for Underground Cinema in Melbourne which she was part of until she left Melbourne in April 2011.
Erin now resides in London and is pursuing a career performing in theatre, film and self-devised work.
Jenine Kerr
Jenine Kerr completed a Bachelor of Visual Arts at Wellington Institute of Technology in 2005. She went on to exhibit her work *Pandimonium* in The Aaron Lawrence Gallery in Wellington, New Zealand. In addition, she collaborated in group exhibitions in the Wellington Region while study towards Diploma in Video Post Production completed in 2007.
Involved in the Wellington Fringe Festival for three consecutive years, Jenine directed set designs including the award winning performances *BOX*, *Rocking in the Fringe* and *Rapping in the Fringe*.
Jenine then moved to Melbourne in June 2008 where she met Julia Campbell and Erin Hutching. Here the three emerging artists began collaborating on *Jill & Irene Go Camping.* Jenine brought a visual multimedia aesthetic to the group soon to be known as Unicorn Productions. She has a passion for experiential film and music which can be seen in Unicorn Productions’ second project *Alex London Dies in Public*.
Jenine developed multiple visual projections for *Instructions to a Double*. She also edited the installation Night’s Wraith.
Jenine also resides in London where she is getting into photography and veejaying, as well as continuing to create film work.
